T'Kuvma starts the Klingon war with the Federation by summoning the Klingon houses using the Beacon of Kahless – an 'obelisk' that is hidden near the Binary Stars. STAR TREK: DISCOVERY opens with  Michael Burnham and the crew of the U.S.S. Shenzhou  stumbling across the beacon, which  was designed by Sam Michlap. The Eaglemoss model is just under 8" (20 cm) long.
