When Battlestar Galactica returned in 2004, it was with a redesigned ship that cleverly echoed the original. Seen from the side, Eric Chu's design looks radically different, but when turned around, the familiar shapes of the classic version are evident in the design.

In the series, the Galactica is a relic of an earlier age, but its primitive technology allowed it to survive the Cylon attack to become humanity's flagship.

The original Viper is a maneuverable, one-man fighter that was one of the signature models of the original Battlestar Galactica. It was designed by legendary concept artist Ralph McQuarrie, who had recently finished work on Star Wars. The shooting models were beautifully made and rapidly became iconic.

What followed is a true sci-fi classic. The Nostromo was designed by legendary concept artists Ron Cobb and Chris Foss.

This is Eaglemoss's XL version which comes in premium packaging and measures just under 10.5 inches (26.5 cm) long.

In the 2004 reimagined Battlestar Galactica, the fleet was regularly menaced by Cylon Raiders, which mounted strafing attacks on the human ships. The Cylon ships had a low level of sentience, which the show's creator Ron D. Moore likened to that of a horse.

The menacing design was created by concept artist Eric Chu, who gave it echoes of the design for the Cylon Centurion.

The Eaglemoss model is 10.6 inches (27 cm) long.

The original series Cylon Baseships consisted of twin discs built around a central column. They served as both heavily armed warships and carriers for the smaller Cylon Raiders. They were designed by legendary concept artist Ralph McQuarrie, who worked on Battlestar Galactica after his concept work for Star Wars.

The model measures approximately 6 inches (15.5 cm) across.

Scar was one of the deadliest Cylon Raiders. It had gained experience as a result of being killed and resurrected many times, and grew more cunning with each resurrection. Starbuck set out to kill it, but was only able to achieve her mission with help from Kat.

Scar measures approximately 10 inches (25.4 cm) in length.

This version of the Viper appeared in the TV movie Blood & Chrome, which showed us a pivotal battle in the First Cylon war. The design is close to the version that artist Ralph McQuarrie designed for the original 1978 series, but was made more muscular and upgraded for modern audiences.

One of only two ships that Eaglemoss produced for the Fallout video game series. The Prydwen was the mobile command center that served as the headquarters for the Brotherhood of Steel. The Prydwen was an airship that carried a large number of troops and Vertibirds along with all the facilities you'd expect to find in a military base. The Loki was a heavy cruiser that saw service in the First Cylon War. It was designed to carry supplies to combat vessels, but was heavily armed itself with 35 guns. The Loki was created for Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome where it was part of the ghost fleet that was hidden from the Cylons.
