The NX shuttlepod was one of a pairt of shuttles that were housed in the shuttlebay on the underside of the NX-01's saucer. They were used in the early days of the ship's mission before transporters were widely accepted. The shuttles were designed by John Eaves who wanted them to look like a logical evolution of early 21st-century tech. It was originally released as part of a shuttle set and this is the first time it is being made available separately.
