In STAR TREK INSURRECTION, the Son'a plan to harvest metaphasic radiation from the rings around the Ba'ku planet. The radiation had regenerative properties that kept the Ba'ku permanently young. The collector had massive wings that unfurled to collect it. The ship was designed by John Eaves, who based the shape on a lawn dart that his daughter was playing with.
