Springfield class (U.S.S. Chekov)

The Springfield class is one of the ships that was part of the wreckage in the aftermath of the battle of Wolf 359. The ship was designed a part of an experiment by the art department and modelmaker Ed Miarecki to see if new Starfleet ships could be made using parts from existing models. The Springfield-class U.S.S. Chekov combines a Galaxy-class saucer with parts from commercial model kits. The Eaglemoss model is just under 5"  (12.5 cm) long.
