The U.S.S. Shenzou was Captain Georgiou's ship. Burnham and Saru served on it before they joined the crew of the U.S.S. Discovery. It was a Walker-class ship that had been in service for decades It was fatally damaged at the Battle at the Binary Stars. The Shenzhou was designed by John Eaves who wanted it to look like an evolutionary stage between the NX-01 and the Constitution-class refit from STAR TREK: THE MOTION PICTURE.
