TNG's first season ends with the Enterprise confronting a massive Romulan ship as its commanders declare that their empire is back. The D'deridex-class Romulan Warbird went on to become a regular feature on TNG and DS9. It was designed by Andrew Probert, who gave it an unusual hoop shape that contained the engines. This is Eaglemoss's XL version, which measures 8.6" (22 cm) front to back.
