The Sheliak colony ship appears in the TNG episode 'The Ensigns of Command' when the Sheliak insist that Picard and his crew remove the colonists from the planet Tau Cygna V - a mission that puts Data in an unfamiliar position. The model was heavily adapted from the Merchantman with the addition of several new elements that made it almost unrecognizable.
