The Tellarites are the pig-like aliens who made their debut in the TOS episode 'Journey to Babel'. According the fan lore, they were one of the founding members of the Federation. We learned much more about them on ENTERPRISE and finally got to see their ships in the episode 'Babel One', where they become part of the alliance that defeats a Romulan plot. The Tellarite cruiser was a modified version of the Arkonian warship which John Eaves designed for the episode 'Dawn'.
