This Friday’s drop involves one of the hardest to find, most expensive ships in the history of Eaglemoss. The first season of STAR TREK: PICARD ends with Riker leading an entire fleet of Inquiry-class ships to the rescue. At first glance the ships are identical but in fact there are four variants: the Zheng He, the Toussaint, the Varian Fry and the Maui. There are two different versions of the nacelles and two different paint schemes. Eaglemoss made models of all four. The Varian Fry and, in particular, the Maui were only made in limited quantities and are being list on eBay for over $1,000 each.
We have found the remaining Eaglemoss stock of the Toussaint, the Varian Fry and the Maui and will be offering them all in this Friday’s drop. Quantities are limited and we expect demand to be high.
The same drop features some other much-sought after ships: the XL versions of DS9, the Enterprise-D. Plus the last regular ship in the original 180-issue subscription – the Borg cube and the future ‘Dreadnought’ version of the D from the TNG finale ‘All Good Things’.
It’s also a good week for books. We’ve got several volumes of the Designing Starships and the Shipyards lines, each of which expanded on the information in the magazines in beautifully illustrated hardback books; several graphic novels including Hive which was co-written by Brannon Braga and Picard showrunner Terry Matalas; illustrated technical manuals for Kirk’s Enterprise and Deep Space 9, and finally STAR TREK: VOYAGER A Celebration which got rave reviews and for our money is the best book ever published about VOYAGER.
