In STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS the crew take a civilian ship down to the surface of the Klingon home world Qo'noS where they are pursued by Klingon D4-class birds-of-prey. The ship was a Kelvin timeline version of the classic design and was a radical departure from the original. It was designed by James Clyne, who based it on a real bird of prey, giving it articulated wings. The Eaglemoss model has a wingspan of 7.5" (19 cm).
