In the episode 'Aquiel', the Enterprise-D investigates a murder aboard Relay Station 47. This was the first time we'd actually seen a subspace relay station. They're an important part of Starfleet's communications network and make interstellar communication possible. This one was a relatively small space station with a crew of two. It was designed by Rick Sternbach, who modified his own design for the Cryo satellite from 'The Neutral Zone'. The Eaglemoss model stands 7" (18 cm) tall.
