When STAR TREK returned it had a brand new starship - the Crossfield-class U.S.S. Discovery. The ship's design was inspired by work that legendary production designer Ken Adam and illustrator Ralph McQuarrie did for an abandoned STAR TREK movie in the 1970s. The new ship was designed by John Eaves and had a distinctive triangular secondary hull. The Eaglemoss model is just under 10" (25 cm) long.
